A walk through the new Michigan Septic Replacement Loan Program

On June 25, 2024: we hosted – A walk through the new Michigan Septic Replacement Loan Program

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), has partnered with Michigan Saves to provide low-interest financing to Michigan homeowners for the replacement of failing or near-failing septic systems. With the Septic Replacement Loan Program (SRLP), homeowners work with an authorized septic installation contractor for needed repairs and replacement. Loans will range from $1,000 to $50,000 per project, and actual rates, terms, and loan amounts will vary.

On June 25th, WasteWater Education hosted a free online Zoom seminar with Pat O’Boyle, Director of Business Development at Michigan Saves, and Anne Mitchell with EGLE. Anne is the program manager and a wealth of knowledge in this subject matter. They will walk participants through the process of qualifications and application criteria.

For more information on how to apply for a septic replacement loan, or for contractors interested in becoming an authorized installer, see the Michigan Saves site.
