2012 Annual Report
By Patrick Donovan, R.S. Board Chair.

As WasteWater Education 501(c)3 begins a new Fiscal Year, it was with great pride that the Board of Directors gathered for our Annual Meeting and Biennial Strategic Planning Session at the Ralph A. MacMullan Center on beautiful Higgins Lake in NW MI.
I can’t think of a better place to be to discuss the invaluable work this organization does to provide education and outreach which enables individuals and communities to make wise, sustainable water resource decisions.
We have weathered difficult times, as have all nonprofit and local governmental agencies, during these tough economic times. But it is precisely for this reason that our work is critically important.
Now, more than ever before, communities must choose wisely how to spend scarce public dollars on drinking water and sanitation systems. Municipalities, property owners and individuals, face ever increasing energy bills. Changing weather patterns and severe weather events mandate planning and sustainable options.
The next two years will be critical.
WasteWater Education 501(c)3 intends to meet, and exceed, our Goal to increase awareness of the interconnectivity of water use and water resources. I am honored, and excited, to be the FY2012-13 Board Chair. Patrick Donovan. R.S.
